Chaired professor of French literature and literary pedagogy at the University of Geneva, Jérôme David is a specialist in the history of world literature.

In this field, he has published Spectres de Goethe. Les métamorphoses de la “littérature mondiale” [Specters of Goethe. The Metamorphoses of “World Literature”] (Paris, Les Prairies ordinaires, 2011) as well as Martin Bodmer et les promesses de la littérature mondiale [Martin Bodmer and the Promise of World Literature] (Paris, Ithaque, 2018).
